What is CloudCannon's free trial?

Last modified: August 11th, 2026

On this page

CloudCannon offers a 21-day Free Trial on every new Organization. This trial allows you to explore CloudCannon's features and determine if it is the right fit for you, without entering any payment details.

By default, your Free Trial starts on the Standard Plan. If you want to try more features, you can upgrade to the Team Plan at any time during your Free Trial. For more information about the features available on each Subscription Plan, please read the CloudCannon pricing page.

Upgrading to the Team Plan does not extend your trial period. If you are a member of the Owners Permission Group of the Organization, you can track how many days remain using the Trial Countdown in the App Sidebar.

How can I start a Free Trial?#

For a step-by-step walkthrough of starting a trial and setting up billing, please read our guide on subscribing to CloudCannon.

CloudCannon automatically starts a Free Trial for each Organization you create. This includes your first Organization, which CloudCannon creates when you create an account, and every new Organization you create afterward.

The exception is joining someone else's Organization by responding to an invitation. That Organization already belongs to someone else, so no Free Trial starts for you. If you go on to create your own Organization, it starts a Free Trial as normal.

What happens when a Free Trial ends?#

CloudCannon shows a banner on the Subscription page with the number of days remaining on your Free Trial. This banner prompts you to add a payment method if you want to continue to use the features on your Subscription Plan.

If you add a payment method, CloudCannon will begin billing you for your Subscription Plan once the Free Trial has ended. Your features, resources, and Billing Period will depend on the details you selected. For more information, please read our documentation on updating your Subscription Plan.

If you do not add a payment method, CloudCannon will pause the Subscription for your Organization. Your Organization, Sites, and files remain intact. You must add a payment method to resume your Subscription or select a different Subscription Plan. For more information about ending your Subscription, please read our documentation on canceling your Subscription.

You can always access your code and content, even when your Subscription is Paused or Canceled.

Can I extend my Free Trial?#

If you need more time to evaluate CloudCannon, contact our friendly support team to request a trial extension. Let them know your Organization name and how much more time you need.

If you are a web-development agency or a freelancer, you can access a 6-month extension of the Free Trial as a member of CloudCannon's Partner Program.
