What is a Subscription Plan?

Last modified: August 4th, 2026

For current Subscription Plans, features, and pricing, see the CloudCannon pricing page.

A Subscription Plan defines a set of features available to your Organization, the monthly usage limits for resources, and the price you pay for access to those features and resources, monthly or annually. Each Organization in CloudCannon can have one Subscription Plan, and can update or cancel at any time.

As each Organization has its own Subscription Plan, owning multiple Organizations results in separate billing.

What are CloudCannon's Subscription Plans?#

CloudCannon offers a range of Subscription Plans. The features and usage limits in these Subscription Plans are designed for teams of different sizes and requirements:

  • Standard Plan — CloudCannon's core editing, publishing, and collaboration features, with resource limits appropriate for small teams.
  • Team Plan — Everything on the Standard Plan, plus advanced publishing workflows, Custom Permission Groups, and priority support, with higher resource limits for larger teams.
  • Enterprise Plan — Everything on the Team Plan, plus Single Sign-On, custom billing arrangements, and a dedicated account manager, with à la carte resource limits and options for teams with advanced security and compliance requirements.

Each Subscription Plan allocates the Organization an amount of Team Members, Custom Domains, Hosting Bandwidth, and Build Time. You can also pay for extra resources at any time. For more information, please read our documentation on what Add-Ons and Overages are.

You can try CloudCannon for free before committing to a paid Subscription Plan, without adding a payment method. Your Free Trial of the Standard Plan starts automatically when you create a new Organization, however you can upgrade it to the Team Plan to try more features. For more information, including how long the trial lasts, please read our documentation on what CloudCannon's free trial is.

Many features in CloudCannon are visible in read-only mode regardless of what Subscription Plan your Organization uses. If you encounter a feature that requires a higher Subscription Plan, CloudCannon will prompt you to upgrade to access that feature. For more information, please read our documentation on updating your Subscription Plan.

For more information on these topics, please read our documentation on updating your Billing Period, what Add-Ons and Overages are, adding a coupon to your subscription, and understanding your CloudCannon invoice.

If your Organization is on an Enterprise Plan, your billing is arranged directly with your CloudCannon account manager. Self-serve Subscription Plan changes and payment method management aren't available. For questions about Enterprise billing, please contact us via support, Slack, or email.
