Understand your CloudCannon invoice

Last modified: August 11th, 2026

On this page

Your CloudCannon invoice is a record of what your Organization owes CloudCannon. You can download your invoices at any time or have them sent to your email address automatically by adding billing contact information to your Organization.

Your invoice total is calculated as the cost of your Organization's Subscription Plan, plus any Add-Ons and Overages, minus any credits and discounts, plus any applicable tax. Depending on these adjustments, your total payment may be more or less than the base cost of your Subscription Plan. CloudCannon breaks your invoice down into line items so you can see where each charge comes from. Before these charges appear on your invoice, you can preview them in the billing summary on the Subscription page, which shows an estimate of your next bill.

Enterprise Organizations use custom billing, and their invoices may differ from what this article describes. If your Organization is on the Enterprise Plan, contact our support team with your Organization name and invoice number.

Subscription Plan and Add-Ons#

Your Subscription Plan and any Add-Ons you pay for are invoiced in advance of your Billing Period. For example, if your Organization uses a monthly Billing Period, the invoice on the 1st of May would be for the month of May, whereas on a yearly Billing Period it would be for the 12 months beginning in May. For more information, please read our documentation on what a Subscription Plan is and what Add-Ons and Overages are.

The cost of your Subscription Plan appears as a line item under your Subscription Plan's name, "[name] Subscription Plan", and Add-Ons will appear as "Team Member" or "Custom Domain".

If your Organization uses one of CloudCannon's legacy Subscription Plans, that Subscription Plan will not appear on the CloudCannon pricing page, but your invoice will still use that Subscription Plan's name. If you're unsure which Subscription Plan your Organization uses, contact our friendly support team with your Organization name.

Overages#

Any Overages you pay for are invoiced retrospectively every month, even if you have a yearly Billing Period. For example, the invoice on the 1st of May would be for the Overages used between April 1st and April 30th. For more information, please read our documentation on what Add-Ons and Overages are.

The cost of your Overages will appear as "[amount] x 100 GB Hosting Bandwidth Bundle" or "[amount] x 1 Hour Build Time Bundle" with the period of time you used them in brackets.

Credits and discounts#

CloudCannon issues a credit when you reduce your Subscription partway through a Billing Period, such as by downgrading your Subscription Plan or removing an Add-On. The credit covers the unused portion of what you have already paid and will appear as a line item on your next invoice, reducing the total.

Credits appear in your billing summary on the Subscription page under Org Settings. If a credit is larger than the total of your next invoice, CloudCannon will hold the remaining balance as Organization credit and apply it to your future invoices.

A discount comes from a coupon applied to your Subscription. Depending on the coupon, a discount takes a percentage or a fixed amount off your total, and may apply to a single invoice, a set number of months, or every invoice. A discount also appears as a negative line item that reduces your total. For more information, please read our documentation on adding a coupon to your Subscription.
