What is a Team Member?

On this page

Team Members are people you have invited to your Organization. Your Team Members will help you edit and review your content, maintain your Sites, and manage your Organization. Each Team Member has their own CloudCannon account and an individual history of all the changes they have made to your Sites. When you invite a Team Member to your Organization, CloudCannon will ask you to assign them to a Permission Group.

How many Team Members can my Organization have?#

The maximum number of Team Members allowed per Organization depends on your Subscription Plan. If you need to exceed this number, you can pay to add extra Team Members to your Organization using Add-ons.

You can see how many Team Members are included in your Subscription Plan on the Your Subscription Plan page, including the total seats, seats used, seats remaining, and how many extra seats you have added on top of your Subscription Plan.

A screenshot of the Your Subscription Plan page shows 15 users allocated, 0 used, and 15 remaining.

Where can I see my Team Members?#

The Team page under Org Settings lists everyone in your Organization under the Members tab. Each Team Member has a card showing their name and avatar, along with details such as how long ago they were last active and who invited them. Anyone you have invited who hasn't accepted yet appears with an Invitation pending label until they join. Select a Team Member's card to open their page, where you can see the Permission Groups they belong to, depending on your own permissions.

A screenshot of the Team page under Org Settings shows a list of Team Member cards, each with the member's name and how long ago they were last active.

What can Team Members do?#

In CloudCannon, Permissions control what actions your Team Members can perform within your Organization. The Permission Groups a Team Member belongs to determine their Permissions. Each Permission Group contains a set of Permissions that apply to all the members of that Group. Every Team Member in your Organization must be a member of at least one Permission Group.

If you want to give someone permission to access an individual Site without making them a member of your Organization, you can use Site Sharing or Client Sharing. For more information, read our documentation on sharing a Site with Site Sharing and what Client Sharing is.
