Creating a new Organization

Anyone can create a new Organization on CloudCannon. When you create a new Organization, CloudCannon will automatically add you to the Owners Default Permission Group for that Org.

An Organization is the highest level of content management on CloudCannon, containing all your websites, team members, and resources in CloudCannon. When you sign up, CloudCannon will automatically create an Organization for you.

You can join multiple Organizations by invitation, or create as many Organizations as you require.

To create a new Organization:

  1. Click on your Name or Avatar at the bottom of the App Sidebar to open the Account Menu.
  2. Select Create new organization. CloudCannon will open the Create a new organization modal.
  3. Enter a name for your Organization in the Organization name text field.
  4. Click the Create organization button.

CloudCannon will forward you to the Organization Home page for your new Organization.

If you are already a member of multiple Organizations, the Account Menu shows an Organizations option in place of Create new organization. Select it to open the Organizations Browser, then click the + Create organization button on the right of your Organization Browser Controls to open the Create your Organization page.

Once you belong to more than one Organization, you can switch between them at any time from the Organizations Browser, which you can open by selecting Organizations in the Account Menu. If you only belong to a single Organization, CloudCannon takes you straight into it, so the Account Menu shows the Create new organization option in place of Organizations.
