What are Partner Points and Rewards?

On this page

Your progression in CloudCannon's Partner Program is measured in Partner Points. As you expand your client work on CloudCannon, you will earn more points and move up the tiers of the Partner Program to unlock more rewards.

Earning Partner Points#

The easiest way to earn Partner Points is by having active clients on CloudCannon. You earn points for every client you onboard and the Subscription Plan they pay for. The bigger a client's Subscription Plan and the more paid seats they take on, the more points they earn you:

  • Lite Plan — 1 point.
  • Standard Plan — 5 points.
  • Team Plan — 30 points.
  • Enterprise Plan — 50 points.
  • Additional seats — Earn 1 point for every paid seat a client adds beyond the number included in their Subscription Plan.

You can also earn extra points that CloudCannon awards directly, for example for contributing to the CloudCannon blog or community, teaming up on co-marketing, or taking part in milestones and campaigns.

Clients in an unpaid or non-paying state, such as those on a Free Trial, do not contribute to your Organization's Partner Points.

You can track your Partner Points from the Partner Rewards page. If you're an Owner of your Partner Organization, you can open it from the Rewards link in the App Sidebar.

On the Partner Rewards page, you can view:

  • Your Partner Points total and a breakdown by client.
  • Your current tier in the Partner Program and how many points remain until the next one.
  • The benefits you've unlocked and what's coming next.
  • Your Expert Badge, available for download from the Silver tier up.

To see where your points come from, select the Your Partner Points card to open the Points Breakdown, which lists each client and the points they earn you, along with any points CloudCannon has awarded you directly.

A screenshot of the Points Breakdown modal in CloudCannon shows a client-by-client table of Partner Points, with each client's Subscription Plan and points, and a separate table of additional points awarded.

Partner Tiers and Rewards#

As your Partner Points grow, your partnership moves up through four tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Every Partner Organization starts in the Bronze tier, and each tier keeps the benefits of the ones below it and unlocks more:

Bronze — 0 points#

Your starting tier, which unlocks:

  • A summary of your client health on your Organization Home page, and Clients and Rewards links in your App Sidebar.
  • Client Organizations, keeping each client's team, Sites, and settings separate from your own.
  • A Partner Permission Group in every Client Organization, which you can add as many Team Members to as you need at no extra cost.
  • The Lite Plan, a low-cost, pay-as-you-go Subscription Plan for your price-sensitive clients.
  • A Free Trial extended from 21 days to six months on every Client Organization you create, unless one of four actions shortens it to three days.
  • An onboarding session to help you get set up.
Silver — 20 points#

Adds:

  • A 10% partner discount.
  • Your own landing page in the CloudCannon Experts Directory.
  • An Expert Badge to display on your own site.
  • Visibility into CloudCannon's product roadmap.
  • Priority support, including a Slack channel with direct access to our engineers and partner team.
Gold — 100 points#

Adds:

  • A 15% partner discount.
  • Client referrals, matched on stack and fit, when customers come to us looking for a project.
  • Co-marketing on blog posts, case studies, and speaking slots at conferences and webinars.
  • Early access to new features, and a say in how they are developed.
Platinum — 200 points#

Adds:

  • A 20% partner discount.
  • A dedicated success manager from our partner team, who learns your business and brings marketing and sales expertise to help you grow.

Your partner discount applies to your own Organization and any Client Organization you manage. CloudCannon does not apply it automatically, so you add it as a coupon to each Subscription Plan you want to discount. For more information, please read our documentation on adding a coupon to your Subscription.

Losing Partner Points#

CloudCannon recalculates your Partner Points whenever something changes in the clients you manage, rather than adding them up over time. Your total reflects the clients paying for CloudCannon right now, so it can go down as well as up.

Your total drops when:

  • A client moves to a smaller Subscription Plan.
  • A client stops paying, such as when a payment fails or they cancel their Subscription.
  • A client gives up paid seats they had added beyond the number included in their Subscription Plan.
  • You detach a Client Organization from your Partner Organization.

Because your tier is based on your current total, your tier can move down as well as up. Points CloudCannon has awarded you directly stay on your total, and are not affected by changes to your clients.

If your tier changes and you have questions about benefits you already set up, such as a discount coupon on a Subscription Plan or your Experts Directory listing, please contact our support team.
